That's how long it took for Denver Police to respond to a man and his fiancé who were viciously beaten by a gang of thugs on the 16th Street Mall last weekend.
I'm glad I can tell you, the couple was released from the hospital and will recover physically from the attack.
But this is just the latest example of the rise in crime in Denver.
And with Denver's slew of criminal friendly, anti-Second Amendment policies, I'm afraid the city has become a paradise for criminals.
Whether you live, work, attend a ball game, or spend an occasional night out on the town in Denver, you have reason to be very concerned.
Here are three simple facts:
1. Violent attacks like this are happening way too often in Denver. Homicides inside city limits have skyrocketed this year by 166%!
2. Denver remains the most anti-gun city in Colorado, even though the facts clearly show cities that uphold a citizen's right to carry a gun for self-defense have the lowest crime rates.
3. Mayor Hancock and other Denver officials are refusing to address the problem!
While city officials are busy bickering over poor response times and making excuses for the rises in violent crime, you and I both know the trend is unmistakable.
Across the country, big cities with anti-gun laws are seeing violent crime spike to ever higher and more dangerous levels.
In anti-gun cities like Baltimore, Washington, and Chicago, crime continues to soar uncontrollably!
All while the rest of the country is seeing a decrease in crime.
But there is at least one major city with encouraging trends that Mayor Hancock and Denver officials could learn from.
In Detroit -- an open carry city -- the Police Chief recently credited armed citizens for robbery dropping a whopping 37%!
And closer to home, it was armed citizens who recently STOPPED attempted murders at churches in Boulder and Aurora.
Unfortunately, Denver officials refuse to face facts.
Not only does Denver continue to ban open carry, the city also has an unconstitutional and unenforceable "assault weapons" ban on the books, and they openly violate rights protected by the Colorado state constitution.
They go out of their way to persecute and prosecute gun owners for any reason they can get away with.
Now they're even going after homeowners by limiting reasonable amounts of ammunition residents can store.
But the more Denver officials infringe on the rights of law-abiding gun owners, the more they create a sanctuary for violent thugs and criminals.
If you agree that it's time to call out Mayor Hancock and the anti-gun Denver officials for their REFUSAL to end their anti-gun and pro-crime policies, then I hope you'll take action now.
Please pick up the telephone and call Mayor Michael Hancock at 720-865-9000.
Urge him to abandon the radical anti-gun policies that have turned Denver into a criminal paradise.
Insist he ends these gun control schemes at once and start standing up for the right of law abiding citizens like you to defend yourself and your loved ones in city limits.
Because the simple truth is law enforcement can't be everywhere.
Whether you live in Denver, or if you're just visiting the Mile High City, you could end up becoming a first responder -- and in a life-threatening emergency, every second counts.
Please call Mayor Michael Hancock at 720-865-9000 right now and urge him to make Denver safer by making it pro-gun.
Thank you for taking action.
P.S. Please call Mayor Hancock and urge him to abandon the radical anti-gun policies that have turned Denver into a criminal paradise.
