How CBD Works

How CBD Works

CBD works as the switch that turns on the regulatory system in the body called the endocannabinoid system.

Did you know that your body produces its own cannabinoids similar to CBD and THC? These endogenous cannabinoids are a part of a system that acts as the “master control” of the body. That same system is designed to work with CBD! The endogenous cannabinoid system, or endocannabinoid system (ECS), is a recently discovered system of naturally occurring cannabinoids and cannabinoid receptor sites throughout your entire body!

There are two receptors that make up the endocannabinoid system, the CB1 and CB2 receptors. CB1 receptors are found mostly in  the nervous system, connective tissues, gonads, glands, and organs. CB2 receptors are primarily found in the immune system and the structures associated with healthy immune functioning. Unlike THC, which is an unnatural stimulant of the CB1 and CB2 receptors, CBD does not affect the CB1 and CB2 receptors directly. Rather, CBD signals the body’s natural endogenous cannabinoids to activate those receptors to do more of what they normally do.

CBD does not cause a high, unlike THC. The reason why CBD is non-psychoactive is due to its lack of affinity for CB1 receptors. CB1 receptors are found in high concentrations in the brain, and are the pathways responsible for the psychoactive effects of THC.

With these cannabinoid receptor sites spread throughout our entire bodies, you can only imagine the importance of having these receptors working properly to keep this important internal system functioning to protect you.

It is through this powerful system that CBD can do its magic, but we cannot make any medical claims. We encourage you to do your own research with the information we have provided.

But you can't just start taking CBD and expect instant results without knowing...

The Secret To Success With CBDs

It turns out you can't just start taking a daily dose of CBD and expect to get results.

We all have endocannabinoid receptors throughout our entire bodies that are present from birth to death.

These molecules function much like CBD and cannabis in regulating mood, pain relief, and many other functions.

But as with most functions on our bodies, they break down as we age.

To kickstart these processes in our bodies, and to get the maximum effect of CBD, we must do a load dose.

This means taking 4-5 times the normal dose (or maintenance dose) of CBD for the first few days, and then going to a lower maintenance dose after that.

CBD will build up in the body, jump start the endocannabinoid system that already exists in your body, and you'll start to feel relief faster and for longer periods of time.

That's why we suggest everyone start with a load dose bottle and then going to a maintenance dose after that is done.

If you took 10mg a day after a load dose it would be far more effective

than just taking 10mg the entire time

My easy to remember rule is to get an extra bottle and take 2 weeks worth in the 1st 3 days (use 5 days worth daily for the first 3 days, then keep your load running with a regular daily dose every day.)
